Kimberly Elizabeth Lee was raised in Washington, North Carolina and obtained her undergraduate degree in Journalism/Business Administration at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She earned her law degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois and received the honor of Order of the Coif for graduating in the top 5% of her class. For the first several years of her legal career she worked at the prestigious firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon in downtown Chicago handling various civil litigation matters. Ms. Lee subsequently moved to Miami, Florida where she worked at the law firm of Akerman, LLP which is ranked among the top 100 law firms in the United States. Ms. Lee spent several years in Florida, and then opted to relocate back to Washington, North Carolina in 2006 to raise her children. Ms. Lee practiced for seven years as an attorney for Ward and Smith, P.A. in Greenville, North Carolina where her practice focused on various creditor’s rights matters and family law litigation. She opted to open her own family law practice in Washington, North Carolina to provide high quality legal services at a reasonable cost for those who need legal representation in eastern North Carolina.
